No one is you and that is your super power.
Nope, I didn’t wait for Monday to roll around to kickstart my week. Sometimes you can’t wait another day to get the ball rolling. This weekend I decided I REALLY need to step up my game this next month. Bring it on November! I’m done skimming by with only some of my goals being accomplished.
I’m only SIX weeks out from my half marathon, but I’ve been STRUGGLING! Getting my mileage in hasn’t been the hard part! It is everything else that comes with the training. My nutrition, strength, and flexibility have not been on point! It has definitely been more challenging juggling all of the training components. Should I focus on more strength training? But then what about more stretching and yoga to eliminate injuries? I’m sure for anyone else who has trained for an extended amount of time, they too have to prioritize.
Yesterday was all about the LEGS! Lunges are one of my favorite exercises because it works both strength and balance. Balancing on my toes and on one foot is something I really need since my ankles have been SUPER stiff from running. I also haven’t been doing enough ankle rehab. Oops! Let’s add that to the November list too shall we!?
My nutrition, strength, and flexibility is something I’m going to be nailing down this next month! I want to be the best I can be for this half marathon and I want to make MYSELF proud! Yes, you heard that correctly! MYSELF!
Goals, goals, and GOALS! And do you know what the best part is?! I won’t be attacking my goals alone! Our next challenge group, THIGHS BEFORE PIES, starts November 6th! In our challenge groups we focus on creating the best versions of ourselves. We focus on creating realistic and achievable goals in the areas of fitness, nutrition, and personal development.
