Today is THE Day! Day 1 of our Fall Into You challenge group AND my first official day training for my half marathon! On December 7th I will be traveling to Cork, Ireland.  Yesterday I officially signed up for the half marathon on December 9th in Clonakilty! Ireland is one of my absolute favorite places to visit.  I’ve been there a handful of times, but it will never get old. Such a beautiful country. PLUS! I’ve never been to Cork or Clonakilty!  WIN WIN! My dream is to live in Ireland, so we will how much if Cork takes the lead over Dublin. Cheers (with a guinness of course) to new destinations!

I can’t wait to explore Cork!

It has been about 2.5 years since I ran my first half marathon in Pittsburgh. HOLY HILLS. So I am looking forward to having something to aim for.  It has been a bit of a challenge to push myself to increase my mileage each week, so this should do the trick (hopefully!).

September 23rd: 5 miles

September 30th: 6 miles

October 7th: 8 miles

October 14th: 5 miles

October 21st: 9 miles

October 28th: 10 miles

November 4th: 7 miles

November 11th: 11 miles

November 18th: 12 miles

November 25th: 8 miles

December 9th: RACE DAY BABY!

My runs during the week will be M, W, F at 3 miles

This is the same training schedule that my high school diving coach created for me back in May 2015 when I ran the half in Pittsburgh. Hopefully this time around I won’t get the flu so bad I end up in the hospital! Got to stay healthy and injury free!
